Strong readers know how to automatically think about what they are reading, they know that reading is thinking. But do you have students who can decode beautifully but have no idea what they read? Do you have students who shrug and say, “I don’t know” when you ask them a comprehension question about the book they read? Or, do they just stare at you and have no idea about how to answer the question? If so, you are ready to teach your students how to THINK about what they are reading!
I have a super fun and engaging lesson that I am sharing with you today! In this video, I share with you how I explicitly teach my students how to think about what they are reading, by using speech bubbles.
