I shared a picture of my BARE bulletin boards on Instagram a couple of days ago.
This is how my classroom looked when my students walked into class today.
This is how my classroom looked when the families walked into my classroom to meet me today.
This is how my classroom will continue to look for my Curriculum night presentation tomorrow.
This is how my classroom bulletin boards will look for the next week.
BARE bulletin boards?? Yep! After 14 years of teaching, I found that it is more meaningful to put up student work, expectations, and content related posters/anchor charts AS I teach about them in class.
I found that, in doing so, it takes the pressure off of me to make everything look “good” and “cute” the first minute the kiddos walk into the classroom.
Which means….these babies will be bare for a bit longer!!!!
Let’s celebrate our bare bulletin boards, shall we??

Thank you for relieving the stigma of not having everything so perfect the first day! I wish everyone would learn from you!
