I’m linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for this post!
Last weekend, we flew to Atlanta for the Spartan race- 4.75 miles and over 25 obstacles! I am *LOVING* these races!!!! These obstacles are no joke! A week later, and I still have bruises and cuts all over my body. I never realized that I have a fear of heights. And let me tell you, when you are in the middle of a vertical endeavor type obstacle and covered in mud feeling very unsure of your grip/footing, it is NOT the time that you want to discover that new fear of heights!
Yesterday we read, That’s What Leprechauns Do by Eve Bunting. We used clues from the story (pictures and words) to infer meaning about the character traits of the leprechauns.
Daring, sly, and sneaky…do those sound like some adjectives that might describe some leprechauns??
This idea is part of my Lovin’ Leprechauns file on TPT. Be the first two to comment on this blog post and I will email it to you for free.
Who else starting their PARCC testing this week? Oh boy. What a *fun* (insert immense sarcasm) experience! The best part? When it is over! We started testing on Monday and Wednesday for 90 minutes each day and continue testing next week. Parent homework was assigned and collected on Wednesday. I secretly asked parents to write a letter to their child, providing encouragement to their smart little cookie. Some parents even added a delicious little cookie to their package! I look forward to sharing these with my students on Monday, before day three of PARCC.
I am honored that TPT featured my You’ve Been Egged idea/freebie on their Facebook Page! If you are looking for a super cute and easy prank to pull on your principal, click on the image below for directions!
You can read more about this idea HERE.
I finally registered for the Teachers Pay Teachers conference this summer in Vegas! Who else is going to Vegas?? I can’t wait to see my blogger friends and learn more about everything and anything blogging and TpT related!

That Leprechaun activity looks fun, a perfect lead in to a narrative writing. We start PARCC in two weeks. This will be our first time with it, not looking forward to it! Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas!
Would love the leprechaun file!
