I do so many ice breakers and get to know you activities for the students, but they never really get to know anything about me.

We're already too far into our year to do it as a beginning of the year activity, but I might try to find a way to incorporate it into something later on. It's such a good idea!

Can't wait to try it. I have done a similar thing with a "funny" test that sees who can follow directions. Number 1 says to read the whole test before doing anything, and the proceeds to give them all sorts of crazy tasks. When they get to the last question it says "Now that you have read the whole test through just write your name on the top and sit quietly" Gets them every time!!!

I have this end of the year test that I am all serious and kind of mean about. I make them move desks, and have a sharp pencil, and tell them they need to go to the bathroom now because they can't get up during the test.

It has a few trick questions like, "What year was the war of 1812?", etc. and then at about number 6 it starts having them take their shoes off, poke holes in their tests, hop on one foot… It is hilarious!
