Beginning of the Year Bulletin Boards

I shared a picture of my BARE bulletin boards on Instagram a couple of days ago.

BARE bulletin boards?? Yep! After 14 years of teaching, I found that it is more meaningful to put up student work, expectations, and content related posters/anchor charts AS I teach about them in class.

I found that, in doing so, it takes the pressure off of me to make everything look “good” and “cute” the first minute the kiddos walk into the classroom.

Which means….these babies will be bare for a bit longer!!!!photo-30
