Snowman Surprise Freebie

Last year, I loved blogging about all the different random acts of kindness that I did in my community and with my students in my classroom. One of the easiest random acts of kindness I did with my students was the Snowman Surprise!

 Snowman Surprise Freebie

When sweet Carmen (Exploring Elementary) emailed me about where she could locate the activity on my blog, I thought it would be fun to repost the craft and add the freebie to my TpT store….in the hopes that other teachers would also be able to benefit.

Gather up all the necessary supplies and set up a snowman station at the table. You only need a few supplies: Styrofoam cups, cotton balls for the rosy cheeks, Q-Tips, pink and brown/black paint, glue, and construction or scrapbook paper for the orange nose. Ask one of the other teachers in your building for a copy of his/her class list. Then, assign each one of your students with a student on the class list. Have your students make the adorable snowman craft for their buddy and write a little note to go along with it! At the end of the day, sneak inside the other classroom when the students have left for the day. Have your students hunt for their buddy’s desk and deliver the snowman surprise! Can you just imagine how excited the students will be to see the cute little craft and note on their desk the following Monday!?? Do you have creative and easy ideas for a random act of kindness for the classroom? x0x0x0x0

  1. What a cute idea…easy to make, and will bring joy to the recipient! Such fun! I love the way it will keep the students focused on others, instead of themselves…sometimes there is too much of that around Christmas!

  2. This is such a creative way to encourage and motivate students to be kind and caring at all times and also will certainly bring happiness to the receiver!!! Love this two-way process :) It's never to early to start showing kindness, love and appreciation to name a few. I would love to have a copy of your packet – it looks awesome and I'm sure its filled with enough goodies to help us (teachers) create caring, loving students. ;)
Thanks a million and take care.
