Random Acts of Kindness

Hello, friends! It is so hard to believe that Christmas is over and we have been off of school already for a week! I love reading about examples of kindness in the classroom. Last week, we got a really neat email from one of our faithful followers, Carmen.Carmen used my Kindness for Kids in the Classroom, Community, and School Setting unit with her kiddos and sent us the pictures! I was so excited to see pictures of Carmen’s students delivering coffee, cookies, and candy canes…on a cart! Her class teamed up with a fourth grade class and they had two carts going at the same time.

I mean, how excited would you be if this cart came rolling into your classroom!?!?! Talk about an awesome random act of kindness!!!! Thank you so much for sharing pictures of this activity, Carmen! On the Friday before winter break, my students performed one last random act of kindness for our principal and assistant principal. The students made a class book as to why those people are a gift to our school.

We then stuffed a stocking with the responses and one lucky student was selected to “sneak” into the principal’s office and put the stocking on his desk.

What is the reason for the season? Showing appreciation for all the hard working staff members in our school! In this file, students shower the staff members in their school with letters of appreciation. File includes cover pages for different staff members in a school setting, both in color and black and white. There are also several templates for students to write their letter of appreciation. Your students will LOOOVE delivering these sweet messages of appreciation and your co-workers will LOOOVE receiving them! :)

6. Kindness Cart- 11 pages
A creative and fun way for your students to show their appreciation for staff members! Students turn into student servers and surprise staff members by delivering coffee and cookies on a cart!

The ideas presented in this unit are perfect for the month of December, where students are encouraged to participate in acts of kindness in their community, school, and classroom.
